After digging into my audio setup and discovering a jerry-rigged wiring job, I decided to switch things around a bit. My previous setup included Clarion 4" 120 watt speakers in the stock Bose casings in the front and 6" round MB Quart's in the rear Bose casings, both being powered by a Clarion 400 watt amp under the passenger seat. After seeing the wiring job, which was hacked up and included different gauge wire running to the speakers, I decided to run standard speaker wire to the fronts from my Alpine deck, which puts out 60 watts per channel, and leave the rears powered by the amp. I was planning to bridge the other connectors on the amp and power a small 8" sub which I haven't purchased yet, probably something requiring 80watts rms (I'm not looking for major slump, just something clean). Seeing as I am pretty much stuck with the setup, I was wondering if anyone can recommend anything else I should do to get the most out of it or has any advice on similar setups. I have read that the fronts should be geared towards the highs and the rears to the mids, but I'm not sure how to go about setting this thing up. Thanks!
